How to Use a Bluetooth Headset With Your Phone

Bluetooth headsets revolutionized the phone industry, allowing wireless and hands-free conversation. This innovation came just in time since few years after the Bluetooth came out, the police started pulling people over for using their hands while talking on cellphones and driving. These headsets are useful for this and many reasons, and what is best is that they are very simple to connect to a phone.

  1. First: Link the headset

The first step is to use the menu on the phone and find where it mentions Bluetooth settings. Some phones have a simple “On” switch and others need to scan for the Bluetooth device. No matter which type of phone you have, the steps are always similar. You should have no difficulty finding the Bluetooth menu on the phone. Just find the Bluetooth menu in your phone's settings and scan for devices.

  2. Second: Make it discoverable

Next, make the headset “discoverable.” Each phone has a different way to achieve this, so check the instruction manual for clear instructions. Most often, the phone enters discoverable mode automatically, but sometimes it does not. Once the phone recognizes the headset, click it to have the devices work together. If your device is recognized as discoverable, you should find it pretty easy to pair the two. Just keep that manual around so you know your headset's specific instructions.

  3. Third: Use and keep charged

Charge the headset fully and frequently. They only last a few hours, and it is unwise to run out of battery in any situation. Adjust the volume carefully, because the headset is only an inch or so away from your eardrum.
